MGK told Jenna Bush Hager and Matt Rogers that ex-partner Megan Fox “does all the work” when it comes to their newborn daughter, despite him receiving a lot of praise
MGK made sure to make it clear that when it comes to his and Megan Fox’s newborn daughter, she’s the one who deserves all the praise for her parenting skills.
Machine Gun Kelly, real name Colson Baker, made an appearance on ‘Today with Jenna and Friends’ and dished on life with a newborn with host Jenna Bush Hager and her guest co-host, comedian Matt Rogers. Even though he and Megan split up last year, it seems that the two are on good terms when it comes to co-parenting their daughter, Saga Blade Fox-Baker.
The musician made sure to give Megan her props during his conversation with the talk show host.
MGK and Megan first went public with their relationship in 2020 and became engaged in 2022. They called off their engagement in March 2024 and announced that they were expecting their first child together later that year in November. Their daughter was born on March 27, 2025.
He announced the arrival of their daughter on Instagram with a black-and-white photo of him holding the baby’s tiny hand along with the caption, “she’s finally here!!! our little celestial seed.”
“How’s life with a new babe?” Jenna asked him. “It’s awesome,” he answered, before adding, “You know, I want to detract any of the congrats to me and just move it to Megan because she really does all the work.”
He quipped, “I just keep getting called, like, the music teacher.”
The ‘Wild Boy’ singer went on to say “Someone the other day was like, You’re such a good dad… just because I was, like, holding the baby or something like that and I could see she was fuming,” acknowledging that “she is the one” who does most of the work when it comes to the baby.
“I just play the guitar and hope and pray that the baby is happy,” he said. “Aw, I love that,” Jenna gushed.
While this is their first child together, this isn’t their first experience as parents. Both he and Megan have children from previous relationships. MGK is the father of a teenage daughter named Cassie from his relationship with Emma Cannon, and Megan shares three children, Noah, Bodhi, and Journey, with her ex-husband, fellow actor Brian Austin Green.
MGK’s upcoming album, ‘Lost Americana’, drops on Friday, August 8.
